RUSSIAN VISA SUPPORT LETTER

For cooperation with travel agencies it is necessary to complete an agreement. Please notice that payment for visa support service (I.Q. for any of our services) can be done both in cash and through bank.
All foreign nationals from non CIS countries are required to have entry visas to travel to the Russian Federation. Russian entry visas can be obtained at local Russian Embassy or Consulate.
IMPORTANT! Take care of the visa for your clients before buying tickets to Russia as visa process may take longer than expected and you will have to postpone or cancel your tickets.
The steps that are needed to get a Russian visa for your clients and keep it in good standing are outlined below:
STEP 1: AUTHORIZATION in the nearest Russian Embassy or Consulate in your country
STEP 2: ORDER VISA INVITATION
Viipuritours, as authorized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation travel company and has a reference number, will issue tourist visa support letter which shows the reference number of Viipuritours and confirmation number for the visa. It gives you the opportunity to apply for a TOURIST visa for a period:
• up to 3 days (without mentioning of the exact place of your tourists’ accommodation in Russia);
• up to 30 days (with obligatory informing about the hotel address where your tourists will be accommodated and the copy of the hotel confirmation attached).
We will need the fallowing details to proceed your visa support letter:
last name and first name (as it appears on the passport), date of birth, passport number, period of the passport validity, citizenship, dates of visit to Russia, destinations in Russia to be visited, the hotel and exact address of the hotel where your clients will be accommodation in Russia (in case of staying in Russia for more than 72 hours).
Upon receiving your request we will contact you and let you know all details of the procedure and payment. Invitation letter for the visa will be sent to you by e-mail (scanned copy) or by fax. Viipuritours will put maximum efforts to process your visa invitation as soon as possible. Processing time is from 1 hour to next working day. Originals can be sent by post (by regular mail or by courier mail at extra price) if required by the Consulate.
STEP 3: PREPARE THE DOCUMENTS
Once you have the invitation for your clients (Russian visa support), you need to prepare the documents to apply for the Russian visa.
We exemplify the package of the documents to submit to the Russian Embassy or Consulate in Finland valid on June 2009. Please check the current requirements (to be specified by the Russian Embassy or Consulate):
• original passport with at least 2 blank visa-designated pages (passport must be valid for at least 6 months after intended departure date from Russia);
• two passport-size photos signed on the back, which should be recent and good quality;
• two copies of Russian visa application form, completed and signed;
• other documents if necessary (to be specified by the Russian Embassy or Consulate).
STEP 4: APPLY FOR VISA
Finally, you need to submit all your clients’ documents, including the visa support letter received from Viipuritours, to the Russian Embassy or Consulate.
STEP 5: REGISTRATION OF THE VISA IN RUSSIA
According to the Russian law, all foreign citizens arriving in Russia must register their visa within 72 hours upon the arrival. If the tourists arrive on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the visa must be registered on the first working day after the arrival.
Visitors who stay less than three working days may not notify about their arrival.
In order to get registered the tourists have to notify Administration of Federal Migration Service (FMS) office (commonly known as OVIR) about your arrival by filling Arrival Notification Form. If the tourists are staying in a hotel, the hotel should register their visas for the period of the stay. Be sure to request this service!
